SUMMARY:ORN Regional Summit: Xylazine
DESCRIPTION:The goal of the ORN regional summits is to bring the community together in person for a full day to discuss opioid\, stimulant\, and other substance use in the community and to identify ways the ORN can provide free training and education to support efforts that mitigate the impact of those substances. For the April summit\, we chose to focus on xylazine. \nWe want to hear from community members about the gaps and needs in the region and how we can partner together to support these training and resource needs to more effectively impact the epidemic in this area. \nEveryone is welcome; those already working in prevention\, treatment\, and recovery\, legislators and policymakers\, faith-leaders and the faith-based community\, family members\, healthcare providers\, health departments\, educators\, and community-based organizations.

SUMMARY:Take Back the Night
DESCRIPTION:This event raises awareness and provides community support around sexual\, domestic\, and interpersonal violence. Once there\, there is a “Busting the Myths” street action to increase education around these issues and the importance of consent. After this there is an open speak out session where survivors and supporters are able to break the silence that often follows these experiences. This is an incredibly powerful event\, and all survivors and supporter are welcome to attend. **Wedge will be providing Behavioral Health screenings**

SUMMARY:PDPH SUPHR: Overdose Prevention and Reversal Training
DESCRIPTION:*Trigger Warning*: This training involves detailed discussions of drug use\, overdoses\, and demonstrations on how to use Narcan. If you have any concerns\, please feel free to email SUPHR staff at overdose.prevention@phila.gov \nThis training provides background information and data on opioid use\, Philadelphia’s drug supply\, and overdoses in our city. There is also a detailed description of how to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose with naloxone\, or Narcan. The training is approximately 1.5 hours with an additional 15 minutes for questions. \nYou can choose to have Narcan discreetly mailed to you after the training. We aim to prioritize our Narcan supply for those with the least access to Narcan and those most likely to witness an overdose. If you have the resources to acquire Narcan on your own\, please consider going to your local pharmacy to get it.
