Its design incorporates young adult learning strategies and principles\, promotes critical thinking\, and self-directed and experiential learning to replicate the practice of recovery and peer support. The course centers on the recovery model of behavioral health and on the core values and practices guiding peer-to-peer emotional and psychological wellness. Providing peer support for young adults requires an additional generational lens as well as an understanding of the intersections that define systems of care. This training structure promotes independence\, advocacy and activism\, self-awareness and reflection and a critical analysis of the impact of social determinants on the health and well-being of self and others. \nTo qualify for this scholarship funded training\, you must: \n(a) Be a Philadelphia resident;\n(b) Identify as a Peer or person with lived experience. \nSpace is limited and qualifying participants will be selected on a first come first served basis. \nSponsored by DBHIDS
