SUMMARY:Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training
DESCRIPTION:Storytelling is a training facilitated by Ur Storytellers in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories and in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. This training will be 4 hrs. in length\, delivered in a PowerPoint format\, and interactive activities enhance this training. After the conclusion of the training\, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.

SUMMARY:I'm Fine: Art and Healing from Trauma
DESCRIPTION:Children First will be hosting a special event for advocates following the rally at the nearby Susquehanna Art Museum. On exhibit at the museum is the I’m Fine project\, which is an exhibit of over 1\,000 masks made by people with mental health challenges to represent how we hide or minimize our emotions and mental health challenges. The event will feature a panel discussion to highlight the need for increased resources and supports for young people’s mental health and explore the ways that art can be healing for young people. Doors will open at 4:30pm\, and the panel discussion will begin at 5pm. \nThis event is FREE and includes free access to the museum.
