SUMMARY:UrStorytellers Online Storytelling Training
DESCRIPTION:Storytelling is a training facilitated by UrStorytellers in collaboration with the City of Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist. Our goal is to inform the recovery and faith-based communities on how to share their stories and in addition to the importance of sharing them in community settings. This training will be 3hrs. in length\, delivered in a PowerPoint format\, and interactive activities enhance this training. After the conclusion of the training\, all participants will receive a certificate of completion.

No es un requisito que los participantes hablen únicamente inglés ni español. El grupo es un espacio más dirigido a apoyar las necesidades culturales de los latinxs y su proceso de duelo. Esperamos que vengan! \nHay Otros-Latinxs con Duelo is a support group for latinxs/hispanxs that have lost a loved to substance use/overdose. Participants are not required to speak solely English nor Spanish as this is a space that is more directed to support the cultural needs of Latinxs and their grieving process.
