SUMMARY:DBHIDS WRAP I Training
DESCRIPTION:Wellness Recovery Action Plan® (WRAP) is an evidence-based practice developed by the Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery. This introductory course was initially designed for people living with mental health issues but has since been found to be equally effective for others including people living with a history of substance abuse\, problematic behaviors or any life challenge for which improvement is desired. In WRAP® participants are guided through the process of creating their own WRAP through the identification of personal wellness tools. Learners are introduced to recovery concepts and taught practical ways to incorporate them in daily life. In addition\, learners are taught to identify their personal triggers\, early warning signs and develop action plans to reduce or avoid escalation. Finally\, learners develop a crisis plan and post crisis plan. Learners who complete WRAP Seminar I are authorized to facilitate one-on-one WRAP sessions. Additionally this training session fulfills the prerequisite for the WRAP® Seminar II: WRAP Facilitator Training.

DESCRIPTION:The Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group seeks to help loss survivors cope\, connect\, and work toward healing. Trained group facilitators are suicide loss survivors who know firsthand how difficult it can be to find your way after losing someone to suicide. The group is open to anyone 18 years or older who is grieving a loss due to suicide. \nThe group is free and confidential.
