FOR PHILADELPHIA RESIDENTS ONLY The Certified Peer Specialist Training is designed to provide learners with foundational knowledge and skills for working as professional providers of Peer Support. Successful completion of this training will result in eligibility to take the state certification exam (through the PA Certification Board). CPS Supervisor’s Training (DBHIDS Sponsored)

This 12-hour course lays the foundation of Supervision in a Peer Support Environment, grounded in understanding of CPS roles and Recovery Values. This course includes SAMHSA’s Core Competencies of Peer Support, OMHSAS Standards of Supervision for Peer Support, Kadushin’s Social Work model on the Functions of Supervision, Reflective Supervision basics, and examines Trauma-informed principles in a supervisory context.
