Rooted in Resiliency Health and Wellness Event

This project seeks to promote mental health and wellness in partnership with Representative Joseph Hohenstein’s Office by increasing access to and awareness of the behavioral health, mental health, addiction services offered by DBHIDS and various treatment providers. With the addition of hands-on gardening opportunities, it gives all community members, regardless of accessibility needs, the ability to connect to nature and be in touch with ‘roots’ and encourage overall physical and mental wellness.

Philadelphia Family Voices Community Picnic

This special event celebrates 5 years of impact serving children, youth, and families across Philadelphia. The day will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, the presentation of the Dr. Benita Tillman Award, family-friendly activities, entertainment, giveaways, food, raffles, and opportunities for community connection.

Ur Storytellers Storytelling Training

Storytelling is a training facilitated by Ur Storytellers in collaboration with the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services (DBHIDS). This training is one of many that are approved as a required prerequisite for applicants who want to pursue the goal of becoming a Certified Peer Specialist.
