Mental Health First Aid (Youth Curriculum)

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour training course that teaches adult community members how to assist a young person (ages 12-18) who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. YMHFA teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of mental illnesses and substance use challenges. Upon completion of the training, participants receive a comprehensive Youth Mental Health First Aid manual along with a three (3) year national MHFA certification.

Certified Peer Specialist Information Session

Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) identify as having serious behavioral health challenges (mental and/or addiction). A CPS is trained to support others in their recovery process. This relationship between peers is one of mutual trust and respect, moving toward a more meaningful life in recovery.
